Bhagwat Gawande is one amongst 27 other Jalsevaks who have initiated such practices in 106 villages under the Water Stewardship Initiative. In his 5 villages, through Shramdaan by villagers and convergence from other schemes, additional water harvesting potential of 2.2 million liters has been created. The Initiative is launched by Watershed Organisation trust (WOTR) and supported by Hindustan Unilever Foundation.
