The Rural Youth Employment project is a project of the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit“ (GIZ) GmbH, aiming to improve the employment situation of youth and women in rural areas in four sub-Saharan African countries – Burkina Faso, Kenya, Malawi and Mozambique.
Young people play a vital role in the development of rural areas and the transformation of the agriculture and food sector. Therefore, the project together with local partners supports youth and women to:
-develop their qualifications and skills,
-explore self-employment and kickstart their own business,
-grow and diversify their business as well as
-improve their access to information, inputs, financial services and networks.
